About the practice
A family practice in the truest sense
Founded in 1994, we care for patients of every age in Edenburg — often for decades, and often across several generations of the same family.
Rivonia Family Practice is a general practice on Rivonia Boulevard in Edenburg. The practice was founded in 1994 and has remained a small, familiar team since. Dr Sam and Dr Sumien have worked together since 2005, and Dr Tamsyn joined as a permanent locum in 2025.
Our approach is unhurried and thorough. We take a full history, examine carefully, and consider your health as a whole rather than the single problem that brought you in. Where a concern needs further investigation or another practitioner, we say so plainly and help arrange it.
Treatment is only part of the picture. Following up on how you are progressing matters to us, and continuity of care is one of the reasons patients stay with the practice over many years.
The practice runs by appointment only, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. Patients pay the practice directly and claim back from their medical aid.
